The “Antonis Tritsis” Environmental Awareness Park is located between the municipalities of Agios Anargyros-Kamatero and Ilion. It covers an area of 1,100 acres and serves as a unique daily oasis for the residents of Athens. Ideal for spending a beautiful day with your family and beloved dog, the park meets all the requirements for Canicross events. Easily accessible and in close proximity to the center of Athens, it could also be used for daily training sessions for both you and your dog. The trail is circular, allowing athletes to finish where they started.
The event will span two days and include the following schedule:
Saturday, NOVEMBER 23, 2024:
- CaniCross and Bikejoring Information Session at 11:00 AM
- Children’s Information Session (ages 6 and above) on “CaniCross and Sports” at 11:30 AM
- Presentation of dog and athlete equipment at 12:00 PM
- Mini training course for children
Sunday, NOVEMBER 24, 2024:
- Athlete arrival and check-in at 09:30 AM
- Start of the first leg of the Fun race at 12:00 PM
- Start of the second leg of the Sport race at 2:00 PM

ATTENTION: • You must have the appropriate equipment with you in case of cold or rainy weather. • The event is canceled in case of a temperature increase above 20°C and below -2°C. • The event is canceled if fewer than 15 people register. • In case of rain or snow before or during the race, the event will proceed as planned. • If there is prior rain and snowfall in the days leading up to the event, there will be continuous announcements via email and posts on social media regarding the track conditions.

HOW WILL YOU COME
Please input the coordinates 38.045552, 23.723296 into your GPS. In case you are unable to use coordinates, head towards the Agios Anargyros area. Locate Leoforos Dimokratias (Democracy Avenue) and turn onto Spyrou Moustakli Street.
DOG BOOK
You should always have the dog's ID card with the Microchip number and all necessary vaccinations with you. You will be asked by the race vet.
EQUIPMENT
Necessary and mandatory equipment for the canicross Belt (belt) for the waist, Leash (strap) rubber 2m and Harness (samaraki) for the dog and for Bikejoring and scooter helmet and antenna. Equipment is not mandatory in the FUN category
STARTUP SEQUENCE
The start will be given every 30". In a special case such as a large participation, the start will be given every 15". A table will be posted with the start time of each athlete, which must be observed. The starting order will be the order of registration for the race.

FUN 3,4Κ
Participation in the FUN category is FREE, and individuals aged 7 and above can run either alone or with an escort. The race follows all the conditions outlined in the regulations. The route is a circular 3,4km path with a difficulty level of 1 (max. 5), and participants finish where they started. It is an easy route, particularly suitable for those who wish to run for the first time and become familiar with running alongside their dogs. The terrain is especially soft, providing a comfortable running experience without fatigue and hardship for the dog. Timing is conducted normally, as in all Canicross races. START NOW. Give your dog the opportunity to run with you in a unique experience.
The route is 3,4km, and the difficulty level is 1.
PARTICIPATION COST: FREE
(Registration includes: Medal for the top 3 finishers and a Commemorative Certificate for all other participants.)

SPORT 6,6Κ
The SPORT section has all the conditions based on the regulation. The route is circular 6.6km with difficulty level 2 (max. 5) and the athletes finish where they started. It is an easy route and especially friendly for those who would like to run for the first time and get used to running with their dog. Timing is done normally as in all Canicross races. Necessary and mandatory equipment Belt (belt) for the waist, Leash (strap) elastic 2m and Harness (samaraki) for the dog. Athletes who bring a time under 5 paces qualify for the World Championships in Italy in 2024
