31 MARCH 2024 LAKE MARATHON
Lake Marathon has one of the unique trails that are ideal under the conditions set by the rules of the World Federation of Canicross, Bikejoring, and Scooter races. It is an easy and particularly friendly route for those who would like to run for the first time, even for small children, to get used to running with their dog and prepare for the Sport category. The terrain is particularly soft, predisposing to run comfortably without fatigue and hardship for the dog. Timing is done normally, as in all Canicross races.
The route is also ideal for training under World Championship conditions through the Sport section, which will take place in late October in Italy.

SUNDAY 31 MARCH 2024:
- Athletes’ arrival and check-in at 09:00
- Start of the first Sport section. Start time for the first athlete is 09:45
- Start of the second Fun section. Start time for the first athlete is approximately 10:45
ATTENTION: • You must have the appropriate equipment with you for dealing with cold or rain. • The event is canceled in case of a temperature increase above 20°C and below -2°C. The event is canceled in case of registration of less than 15 people. • In case of rain or snowfall before or during the race, the event takes place normally. • If rain and snow precede the event by days, there will be continuous announcements with email and social media posts about the track conditions.
SAFETY:
The race area belongs to EYDAP.
For safety reasons, CAR PARKING will be outside the Lake area as always. There will be signage and instructions.

HOW TO GET THERE
Go north towards the Northern Suburbs, pass through Kifisia, and reach Ag. Stefanos. Then follow Marathon Avenue and climb the mountain. You have arrived!
DOG PASSPORT
You should have with you at all times the dog's booklet with the Microchip number and all necessary vaccinations. This will be requested by the race veterinarian.
EQUIPMENT
Mandatory equipment for Canicross includes the Belt (waist belt), an elastic Leash (2m), and a Harness for the dog. For Bikejoring and Scooter, a helmet and antenna are also mandatory in the Sport section. In the FUN category, equipment is not mandatory.
START ORDER
The start will be given every 30 seconds. In a special case, such as a large number of participants, the start will be given every 15 seconds. A schedule with the start time for each athlete will be posted and must be followed. The start order will be based on the registration order for the race.

FUN 2,5K SPECIFICATIONS

Participation in the FUN section is FREE and open to individuals aged 7 and above, alone or with a companion, meeting all the necessary requirements according to the regulations. It meets all the requirements according to the regulations. The route is a circular 2.5km with a difficulty level of 1 (max 5), and athletes finish where they started.
